The Law Office of Maria Hajar is seeking a full-time Immigration Attorney to

join our team

in Bellevue, WA. Our firm handles family-based, humanitarian-based, and removal defense cases. The ideal candidate is a compassionate and detail-oriented lawyer who can manage a varied caseload with the support of experienced paralegals and legal assistants.

Compensation

$80,000 – $100,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Performance and employee referral bonuses

Responsibilities

Prepare and file applications with the appropriate agencies.

Represent clients at USCIS interviews.

Represent clients in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court, including master calendar hearings and individual merits hearings.

Prepare legal briefs and motions, and conduct thorough legal research on immigration statutes, regulations, and case law.

Maintain regular contact with clients to provide case updates and cultivate a compassionate, client-focused approach.

Work closely with our legal support staff to efficiently manage cases.

Qualifications:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) or LLM, and admission to the bar in at least one U.S. state.

1–2 years of experience or exposure to immigration law strongly preferred

Strong legal research and writing skills.

Strong verbal communication skills.

Bilingual or multilingual preferred.

Ability to manage multiple cases, deadlines, and tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

Client-service mindset and ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds professionally and compassionately.

Ability to work collaboratively within a team.

A proactive, self-starter attitude with a willingness to take ownership of cases while also seeking guidance when needed.

Comfortable using case management software, legal research tools, and standard office software.

Must be available to work on-site at our Bellevue, WA office during standard business hours.

Willingness to occasionally travel locally (e.g., to Seattle Immigration Court or USCIS field office) as required for hearings or interviews.
