Our firm is seeking a Texas-licensed Family Law Associate Attorney for a 1099 contract position. This role offers remote flexibility while requiring in-person court appearances in Dallas, Collin, Denton, and Rockwall counties.
We’re looking for a skilled litigator who can confidently advocate in court, maintain clear and respectful communication with clients, and produce high-quality legal work. If you want to focus on practicing law without being responsible for consultations, marketing, or firm operations, this could be a great fit.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle a caseload focused on divorce, custody, support, modifications, and enforcement
Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and settlement agreements
Represent clients in court proceedings—both in-person and virtual
Communicate professionally and empathetically with clients throughout the case
Prepare thoroughly for hearings, trials, and mediation
Collaborate with internal team members on case strategy and legal work
Qualifications:
Licensed and in good standing with the Texas State Bar
Minimum of three years of family law experience, with a strong litigation background
Proven courtroom advocacy skills and trial experience
Excellent legal writing, research, and analysis skills
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
Comfortable using technology for remote case management
Must be available for court in Dallas, Collin, Denton, and Rockwall counties
