About the Job:
Our exciting and fast-paced Downtown Oakland law firm is looking for a Legal Calendaring Clerk to provide administrative and legal support to the firm’s attorneys.
This essential, highly responsible, and accountable position requires the individual to work independently, anticipate needs, be tenacious, resourceful, and demonstrate professionalism. The successful candidate must deliver excellent work and superior service. The candidate must also possess the ability to remain calm in stressful situations, communicate effectively, and be flexible as demands and priorities change.
Responsibilities:
Review court rules and calendar applicable deadlines quickly and accurately
Draft and finalize legal documents such as pleadings, discovery, and motions
Manage incoming calls
Assemble binders for mediation, depositions, etc.
Oversee, coordinate, and book travel
Other miscellaneous duties, as assigned
Schedule and coordinate meetings and video conference calls
Desired Qualifications:
Minimum of three years legal experience in litigation
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Tech savvy and resourceful
Adaptable to fast paced work environment
Multitaskers with time management and prioritization skills
Ability to lift and move 35 lbs.
