Job Overview:
A reputable law firm based in Tampa, FL is seeking a skilled Immigration Attorney to join its team. This role involves representing clients in various immigration matters, including asylum (affirmative and defensive), family-based petitions, and more. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in immigration law and a passion for serving diverse communities.
Duties
:
Represent clients in asylum cases, both affirmative and defensive
Manage family-based immigration petitions, including spouse and family reunification cases
Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on immigration-related matters
Prepare and file applications, petitions, and motions with USCIS and other immigration authorities
Appear in immigration court and handle hearings, interviews, and proceedings
Ensure compliance with immigration laws and regulations
Maintain detailed records of case progress and client interactions
Requirements:
At least 1 year of experience practicing immigration law
Strong knowledge of U.S. immigration laws, including asylum and family petitions
Ability to represent clients in various immigration proceedings
Proficiency in case management and legal documentation
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
Certifications:
Active Bar License in any U.S. state (Required)
Skills:
Bilingual in English and Spanish (Required)
Strong legal research and analytical skills
Attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
Proficiency in legal software and case management systems
