Loch Harbour Group is seeking an experienced Compliance Specialist to support human research protection programs (HRPP) within the Department of Defense (DoD). This full-time, on-site Key Personnel position ensures research activities comply with federal, DoD, and Department of Navy (DoN) policies and regulations while supporting Institutional Review Boards (IRBs), investigators, and stakeholders.
Requirements
Duties will include:
Review human subject research protocols for compliance with federal regulations and DoD/DON policies.
Develop and maintain HRPP-related policy and guidance documents for IRBs and research personnel.
Prepare assurance packages to maintain federal compliance in support of human subject research.
Conduct inspections and audits of HRPP stakeholders to ensure adherence to ethical and regulatory standards.
Support communication and compliance efforts between research stakeholders and DoD oversight bodies.
Provide expert regulatory interpretation and recommendations to leadership and research teams.
Minimum Position Requirements:
Current SECRET clearance or the ability to obtain one prior to award.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in human research protection.
Demonstrated experience working with federal regulations, including DoD/DON HRPP policies.
Experience reviewing human subject research for regulatory compliance.
Experience writing and updating HRPP-related policies and guidance.
Demonstrated ability to prepare compliance assurance packages.
Proven experience conducting audits and inspections of HRPP programs and stakeholders.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience supporting both medical and non-medical research within the DoD.
Demonstrated experience collaborating with senior leadership in DoD/DON human research protection programs.
