Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Staff Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various areas of law, including Immigration, Environmental, and Family law. This position requires excellent negotiation skills, the ability to litigate effectively, and proficiency in legal research and writing. The Staff Attorney will play a crucial role in representing clients, providing legal advice, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws.
Duties
Represent clients in court proceedings and other legal matters.
Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients.
Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis.
Draft legal documents, including briefs, motions, and contracts.
Provide legal advice to clients regarding their rights and obligations.
Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations relevant to practice areas.
Collaborate with other attorneys and staff within the law office to ensure comprehensive client representation.
This is an in-house or hybrid role. It is primarily a case management role working with family law clients on matters relating to custody, support, equitable distribution, and spousal support, through negotiations, mediations, arbitrations and/or litigation.
Must be an experienced litigator, who ideally will bring a book of business with them.
Responsibilities:
Manage primarily Wake Co cases.
Occasionally handle cases in surrounding counties.
Contribute to the growth of the firm through work within the firm and volunteer and/or local bar work.
Preferred Skills:
Board Certified Specialist in Family Law.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a driven and fun environment.

Pay range and compensation package.
