Role Overview:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced HR Lawyer (Arabic Speaker) to provide expert legal advice and support on a wide range of employment-related matters. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of UAE Labor Law and regional employment regulations, fluency in Arabic and English, and the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide legal counsel on employment laws, HR policies, employee relations, and labor disputes.
Draft, review, and advise on employment contracts, disciplinary actions, termination notices, and internal HR policies.
Represent the company in labor cases and liaise with government authorities (e.g., MOHRE, Free Zone authorities).
Ensure HR practices comply with applicable labor laws and regulatory requirements across GCC/UAE jurisdictions.
Support HR and management in handling grievances, internal investigations, and conflict resolution.
Prepare legal documentation and reports related to employment matters.
Provide regular updates and training to HR and leadership teams on changes in labor legislation.
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB or equivalent); Master’s degree or legal certification is a plus.
Licensed to practice law in [relevant jurisdiction, e.g., UAE or home country].
Fluency in Arabic and English (spoken and written) is essential.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in labor/employment law, preferably within the GCC.
Strong understanding of UAE Labor Law and regulatory frameworks.
Excellent legal drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion.
Experience working in multinational or regional companies.
Familiarity with Free Zone labor practices and government portals (MOHRE, DMCC, JAFZA, etc.).
Proactive, solution-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
