Responsibilities
and practice
Dentons US LLP is seeking an associate with 1-3 years of real estate experience to join our Chambers “Band 1” nationally top ranked and internationally recognized Hospitality and Leisure practice in either our Chicago, Phoenix or Washington, DC office. Candidates should have excellent academic credentials and proven analytic ability. Hospitality industry experience is a plus. Expected responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
Reviewing, drafting and negotiating letters of intent, purchase and sale agreements, hotel management, license and franchise agreements, joint ventures and other related documents
Hotel financing, including negotiation of loan documents and related deliverables
Handling deal closings
Performing due diligence and other aspects of transactional work as required

Position requirements
Personal skills/attributes
Possesses outstanding oral communication, organizational and written communication skills
Has strong analytical and interpersonal skills
Has the ability to manage competing demands efficiently and effectively
Embraces teamwork, values collaboration and works effectively with others
Is conscientious with a proven attention to detail
Technical skills
1-3 years of legal experience in real estate transactions and experience with the hospitality industry is desirable but not critical
Previous law firm experience required
Large and sophisticated deal and transaction experience is preferred
Other requirements
Licensed to practice law in the state corresponding to the Dentons office of interest and be in good standing of that state bar
