Job Title: Hospital Food Service Worker
Job Overview:
LGC Hospitality Staffing is hiring dependable Hospital Food Service Workers to support food service operations within hospitals and healthcare facilities. This is a temporary, on-call position ideal for individuals who are reliable, take direction well, and can work efficiently in fast-paced healthcare environments.
You will assist with meal preparation, tray assembly, patient meal service, and maintaining clean, organized work areas while representing LGC at client locations. This role plays an important part in supporting patients, visitors, and hospital staff through safe and efficient food service.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with preparing, portioning, and assembling patient meals according to dietary guidelines and production schedules
- Assemble and deliver meal trays accurately based on patient diet orders
- Serve food to hospital staff, visitors, and patients in cafeterias or designated service areas
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchens, serving lines, dining areas, and patient tray assembly stations
- Wash dishes, utensils, trays, and kitchen equipment as needed
- Restock food, beverages, condiments, and supplies throughout shifts
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, infection control, and hospital-specific policies and procedures
- Assist with setup and breakdown of meal service operations
- Follow direction from supervisors, dietary managers, chefs, and healthcare staff
- Arrive on time, in proper uniform, and ready to work

Requirements:
- Previous food service, cafeteria, dietary, or healthcare food service experience preferred
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Ability to work efficiently in structured, high-volume healthcare environments
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow dietary instructions
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Reliable transportation to various job sites
- Flexible schedule (early mornings, daytime shifts, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed)
- Professional appearance and dependable attendance
