Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani, a national law firm in all 50 States, has an immediate opening for a Case Assistant in its Orange County office. The position assists litigation support staff in day-to-day client management and trial preparation by performing various tasks such as:
Responsibilities:
Assist with trial preparation and discovery
Assist with case intake to include conflicts checks, matter opening, team circulations
Client management including filing correspondence, indexing and filing of legal documents and other records in office electronic filing system
Assemble binders as needed to prepare for depositions, hearings, settlement conferences and/or trial
Bates-labeling and organizing exhibits and document productions as needed
Assist team in calendaring important case specific deadlines (i.e. court appearances, discovery, depositions)
Preparing and submitting expense retainers, expense reports and firm invoices via the Chrome River system
Assist with the tracking of case settlements, expert reimbursements and
Other tasks as needed
Qualifications:
Ability to communicate effectively
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 2016
Ability to work independently and willing to help others as needed
Strong organizational skills
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
College degree or current student with at least 2 years of college preferred
