Watts & Associates is working discreetly with a highly regarded Am Law 200 national law firm seeking a 4th- to 7th-year Health Care Litigation Associate to join its Minneapolis office on a hybrid basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a litigation associate who enjoys taking meaningful ownership of complex disputes while working closely with experienced partners on case strategy, discovery, briefing and trial preparation.

The Opportunity
The successful attorney will support and lead significant components of complex health care litigation matters, including:
- Health care-related class actions
- Complex commercial disputes
- Arbitration proceedings
- Discovery strategy and management
- Legal research and analysis
- Drafting and arguing substantive motions
- Deposition and trial preparation
- Strategic case development alongside partners and trial teams
Associates are given the opportunity to take ownership of substantive workstreams, contribute directly to case strategy and build relationships with clients and senior lawyers across the firm’s national platform.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The firm is seeking a 4th- to 7th-year associate with:
- Four to seven years of substantive litigation experience
- Strong litigation fundamentals, including discovery management, legal research and motions practice
- Excellent written and oral advocacy skills
- Experience drafting sophisticated briefs and substantive motions
- Admission to the state bar
- Strong academic credentials
- The ability to meet a 2,000-hour annual billable expectation
- Prior exposure to health care disputes, regulatory matters or health care industry clients, although this is not essential for 4th / 5th year
Compensation
The anticipated salary range for this position is $290,000 to $355,000, depending on class year, experience, qualifications and other relevant factors + benefits & bonuses.
