Role Overview
The Head of Regulatory Compliance (Non-AML Focus) is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the organization’s regulatory compliance framework (excluding AML/CTF areas). The role ensures adherence to applicable laws, regulations, industry standards, and internal policies, while providing strategic advice to senior management and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and execution of the regulatory compliance program (non-AML/CTF).
- Monitor changes in relevant laws, regulations, and industry guidelines; advise business units on compliance implications.
- Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and training programs.
- Serve as the primary liaison with regulators and industry bodies on non-AML compliance matters.
- Oversee regulatory reporting, licensing, and filings to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Provide compliance risk assessments and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Establish monitoring and testing frameworks to evaluate compliance with regulatory obligations.
- Guide and mentor the compliance team; promote a culture of integrity and compliance across the organization.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 10+ years of compliance experience with strong knowledge of non-AML regulatory frameworks.
- In-depth understanding of relevant sectoral regulations (e.g., financial services, insurance, payments, or corporate governance depending on industry).
- Demonstrated leadership experience in regulatory compliance functions.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and regulatory engagement skills.
