A rare opportunity for a Senior Privacy & Data Counsel to take ownership of an enterprise-wide legal capability within a large, complex ASX Listed Australian organisation.
This is much more than a technical privacy role. You’ll lead a specialist Privacy & Data Legal Centre of Excellence, setting direction and building capability across privacy, data protection, data governance and AI.
Working closely with senior leaders across Legal, Technology, Data, Risk, Compliance and Security, your Legal Team will provide strategic, commercially focused advice in an increasingly complex regulatory and technology environment.
We’re looking for:
• 12+ years’ PQE with deep privacy and data expertise
• Direct experience leading & uplifting a legal team
• Strong leadership, influencing and stakeholder management capability
• The confidence to own the function & team, shape its direction and build capability
• Experience navigating complex organisations and evolving regulatory issues
• Exposure to AI and emerging technologies highly regarded
• Senior in-house candidates or experienced private practice lawyers ready to make a significant move in-house
