Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal, regulatory and governance advice to senior management.
- Oversee the firm’s compliance framework, ensuring adherence to applicable laws, regulations and internal policies.
- Manage legal and contractual matters, including coordination with external counsel.
- Act as the primary contact for regulators, auditors and other key external stakeholders.
- Lead data protection and privacy activities, including governance, compliance and data quality oversight.
- Conduct risk assessments, compliance monitoring and control testing activities.
- Manage whistleblowing, ethics and conduct-related processes.
- Prepare compliance, risk and governance reports for local and group leadership.
- Support business initiatives through practical, commercially focused regulatory advice.
- Drive continuous improvement of governance, control and risk management processes.
Ideal Candidate
- Degree in Law, Business, Finance or a related discipline or equivalent.
- Significant experience in Legal, Compliance, Risk, Audit or Governance within financial services.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, governance frameworks and risk management principles.
- Experience working with regulators, auditors and senior stakeholders.
- Knowledge of data protection and privacy requirements.
- Commercially minded with strong analytical and communication skills.
- Fluent in German and English.
