Role Overview:
As the Head of Legal at Zeal Group, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our legal strategies and ensuring that our operations are in full compliance with the ever-evolving regulations in the fintech industry. You will lead a team of legal professionals, providing guidance and support across various departments while remaining proactive in managing legal risks and opportunities.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the legal function of the company, including contract negotiation, compliance, and risk management
Provide expert legal advice to executive leadership and other stakeholders on a variety of issues including corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and business strategy
Manage relationships with external legal counsel and other external advisors
Implement and enforce legal policies and processes across the organization
Stay abreast of changes in local and international legislation impacting the business
Deliver training and legal updates to employees across the organization, fostering a culture of compliance and ethical practices
Qualifications:
Qualified lawyer with at least 8 years of relevant post-qualification experience, preferably in fintech or related sectors
Proven managerial experience in leading a legal team and overseeing complex legal matters
Strong knowledge of commercial law, regulatory frameworks, and compliance requirements in the fintech industry
Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and provide actionable legal advice in a fast-paced environment
Proven track record of successfully managing legal risks and providing strategic guidance for business initiatives
