RESPONSIBILITIES
Location: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
Reporting to: CEO / General Director
We are partnering with a fast-growing supply chain and logistics business to identify a Head of Legal who will lead the company's legal strategy, governance, compliance, and risk management framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all legal and compliance matters across logistics, transportation, warehousing, and commercial operations.
- Provide strategic legal counsel to the CEO and leadership team on business operations, investments, governance, and regulatory matters.
- Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a wide range of commercial agreements, including logistics service contracts, transportation agreements, warehouse leases, agency contracts, and supplier agreements.
- Identify and mitigate legal risks related to transportation, cargo liability, insurance, customs, and international trade activities.
- Represent the company in disputes, claims, litigation, arbitration, and dealings with government authorities.
- Oversee corporate governance, internal policies, licenses, permits, and regulatory compliance.
- Partner with commercial and business development teams to support external customer acquisition and service expansion initiatives.
- Lead and develop the legal team while promoting legal awareness and compliance across the organization.
Ideal Profile
- Bachelor's Degree in Law; Lawyer Practising Certificate is advantageous.
- 8+ years of legal experience, including leadership responsibilities within a corporate environment.
- Strong expertise in corporate, commercial, logistics, transportation, and international trade law.
- Experience reviewing and negotiating complex commercial contracts.
- Familiarity with customs regulations, import/export requirements, Incoterms, and supply chain operations.
- Fluent English, with experience working on international contracts and cross-border matters.
- Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and business partnering capabilities.
