Our client, a leading holding company with a portfolio of businesses across Southeast Asia is now looking for a Head of Corporate Investigations in the region. This role with work across a diverse portfolio of businesses with in the manufacturing and natural resources sector. Ideally the role will be based out of Hong Kong or Singapore but is open to consider other regional locations for the right talent, however travel will likely be required.
Responsibilities:
Oversee and lead corporate investigations across the firm’s holdings in the region
Work with local law enforcement to identify unlawful practices in the regions where business in conducted
Collaborate with legal teams to resolve issues
Act as a business partner with key stakeholders and business heads to identify areas of vulnerability and prevent unlawful practices
Manage aspects of due diligence and K.Y.C
Develop relations with regulators and law enforcement in the region
Requirements:
University graduates with a minimum of 10-15 years of experience with a significant about of that time in investigations, corporate, private or police work.
Strong analytical, presentation and reporting writing skills.
A strong business acumen required, with a sense of regulator issues a plus
Relations with regional regulators, and law enforcement across the region is highly desirable
An understanding of the environmental regulatory landscape a plus
Excellent command of spoken and written English (Other Asian languages like Chinese and Bahasa a bonus)
Traveling will be required around SEA
