HCP – Contracts Manager Jobs in Remote at Health Center Partners of Southern California

The Contracts Manager plays a key role in supporting the Health Center Partners Family of Companies by overseeing the administration, governance, and continuous improvement of the organization’s contract management program. This position serves as the primary resource for contract administration and is responsible for ensuring agreements are reviewed, negotiated, approved, executed, monitored, and maintained in accordance with organizational requirements.

The Contracts Manager works closely with internal departments, leadership, vendors, consultants, partner organizations, and other stakeholders to manage a variety of business agreements, including vendor and service agreements, statements of work, non-disclosure agreements, business associate agreements, data use agreements, certificates of insurance, grant-funded agreements, subcontracts, amendments, renewals, and related documentation. The role provides guidance on contract requirements, coordinates contract review and approval activities, monitors contractual obligations and deadlines, and helps identify and mitigate organizational risk.

In addition to managing assigned contracts, the Contracts Manager develops and maintains contract management processes, workflows, templates, repositories, reporting tools, and governance practices that improve visibility, accountability, consistency, and efficiency across the organization. This position partners closely with leadership and subject matter experts to ensure contracts are appropriately reviewed for privacy, security, compliance, financial, regulatory, and operational considerations while supporting the organization’s strategic and business objectives.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Public Administration, Paralegal Studies, or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Minimum five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in contract management, contract administration, procurement, legal operations, commercial operations, or a related field.
  • Experience independently managing contract negotiations and the full contract lifecycle.
  • Experience developing or improving contract management processes, workflows, templates, repositories, reporting tools, or tracking systems.
  • Experience with healthcare, regulated environments, grant-funded programs, or sensitive/confidential data is preferred.
  • Experience implementing or administering document libraries, contract management systems, workflow tools, or electronic signature platforms is preferred.


Skills & Competencies

  • Knowledge of contract lifecycle management, contract administration, negotiation, records management, and contract monitoring practices.
  • Ability to independently resolve routine and moderately complex contract management issues and appropriately escalate matters requiring specialized review.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, problem-solving, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and a high-volume contract portfolio.
  • Demonstrated sound judgment, discretion, and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

  • Certified Professional Contract Manager (CPCM)

  • Certified Federal Contract Manager (CFCM)

  • Certified Commercial Contract Manager (CCCM)

  • Commercial & Contract Management Associate (CCMA)

  • Other comparable contract or commercial management certification

Compensation will vary based on location, experience, qualifications, and overall alignment with the position. The posted salary range reflects the full compensation band for the role.
