Role Objective

Our 125-person firm seeks an experienced removal defense attorney to represent clients before EOIR and USCIS while managing a dedicated legal team. Responsibilities

Handle a substantial caseload of immigration cases from inception to resolution.
Conduct legal research, analyze case facts, and develop case strategies.
Draft and revise legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence; collaborate with experts and NFIL support staff to build robust cases.
Represent clients in court hearings (if applicable), USCIS interviews (if applicable), and in affirmative filings.
Communicate with government representatives (DHS, USCIS, ICE, and CBP, Senators) as needed.
Stay up to date with legal developments, industry trends, and relevant regulations.
Provide legal advice and guidance to clients, explaining complex legal matters in simple terms.
Attend continuing legal education (CLE) seminars to enhance legal knowledge and skills.
Uphold ethical standards and professional conduct in all interactions.
Maintain case files, ensuring all essential documents, correspondence, and evidence are properly managed; use Filevine for enhanced efficiency and meticulous organization.

Requirements

Active license to practice law in the US.
Minimum 3 years of proven experience in family-based and/or victim-based immigration law.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and team management abilities.
Strategic, innovative mindset with a results-oriented approach.
Spanish language proficiency is REQUIRED

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $123,000 – $165,000 DOE

Location

This role is located in Phoenix/Glendale, AZ. We are offering $5,000 in relocation assistance to move to Phoenix, AZ if you do not currently live in Arizona.
