A leading global engineering and energy infrastructure organisation is seeking an experienced Group Contract Management Director to lead and develop its global contract management function.
This is a strategic leadership role responsible for defining contract management strategy, driving best practice across international operations, and providing commercial and contractual guidance to senior stakeholders and executive leadership. The successful candidate will play a key role in maximising commercial opportunities, mitigating risk, and ensuring robust contract management across major capital projects and long-term operational assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the global Contract Management strategy.
- Provide expert contract management support across project execution, operations and commercial activities.
- Lead the optimisation, standardisation and continuous improvement of contract management processes and procedures.
- Oversee claims management, contract negotiations, dispute resolution and risk mitigation strategies.
- Ensure appropriate resources, capability and governance are in place across the function.
- Support executive leadership with contractual and commercial decision-making.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across multiple disciplines and regions.
- Drive team development, succession planning and organisational capability within the contract management function.
Requirements
- Degree or MBA in Business, Law, Construction Law, Engineering, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
- 20+ years' experience in contract management within complex engineering, infrastructure, energy or industrial projects.
- Extensive experience managing EPCI contracts, subcontract management, claims and commercial negotiations.
- Strong understanding of contract law, risk management and dispute resolution.
- Experience supporting major project execution and operational environments.
- Proven leadership experience managing global or multi-regional contract management teams.
- Oil & Gas, Offshore Energy or large-scale EPC project experience highly desirable.
