Sharif Group is seeking a dynamic and well-connected Government Relations & Compliance to ensure smooth liaison with government bodies and regulatory authorities. This role is critical in securing approvals, maintaining statutory compliance, and safeguarding the Group’s operations from regulatory risks.
Key Responsibilities:
Build and maintain strong working relationships with relevant government departments including:
>Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
>Excise & Taxation Department
>Boiler Inspection Department
>Department of Explosives
>Social Security
>Employees’ Old-Age Benefits Institution (EOBI)
Ensure timely acquisition and renewal of operational licenses, environmental approvals, and regulatory NOCs.
Coordinate with internal departments to prepare documentation required by regulatory agencies.
Track changes in laws and regulations; communicate implications to senior management.
Handle inspections, audits, and compliance reviews by regulatory authorities.
Act as SG’s point of contact for resolving any legal or procedural matters with government departments.
Required Profile:
Minimum Bachelor’s degree; preference for candidates with Law, Public Administration, or Political Science background.
MBA preferred.
3–5 years of experience in a similar role dealing with regulatory authorities and government compliance.
Strong knowledge of industrial regulations applicable to manufacturing, agriculture, and energy sectors.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
Proven experience in managing government processes and documentation workflows.
