Orange County Public Schools, the fourth largest school district in Florida and eighth largest in the nation is searching for a service-minded individual to fill a Real Estate Attorneyposition.
The Office of Legal Services provides advice and counsel to the School Board members, the Superintendent, Executive Leadership, and other persons responsible for managing academic and administrative units.
Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the General Counsel, the Staff Attorney will provide exceptional legal services across a diverse range of real estate-related functions, including contract drafting and review, title and survey review, zoning laws, land use regulations, and contractual obligation while applying established legal standards, principles, and practices with proactive support and counsel. This position may conduct work in a secondary area of expertise.
Qualifications:
Possession of a Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school and membership in good standing in The Florida Bar with five (5) years of experience as a practicing attorney, preferably in the public sector. Board Certification in Construction Law, City, County, Local Government, or Real Estate, is preferred.
