JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Lawyer to join our global legal team. An ideal candidate will have working experience as a house lawyer/law firm in managing legal aspects of general corporate laws, infrastructure, construction, and energy projects preferably in the manufacturing or automotive sector. This role requires a strong understanding of projects, risk management and regulatory compliance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Contracts:
Managing legal documentation, drafting, review and negotiation of a variety of agreements including investment agreements, lease agreements, share purchase agreements, procurement contracts, service contracts, GTCs, RFP, RFQ, NDAs, joint ventures, EPC etc.
Creation of standard templates as per business needs.
Contracts Claim Management & Advisory:
Managing contractual disputes across jurisdictions;
Management and filing of relevant contractual documents (letters, e-mails, minutes);
Deliverables & Obligations Management. Advisory on general corporate laws, corporate governance, and regulations on a day-to-day basis.
Advise and administration of the contracts in order to anticipate the claims procedures.
Stakeholder Management (Internal & External):
Management of internal and external stakeholders. Collaboration with cross-functional teams for project management, contractual dispute resolution, training etc.
Work with domestic and international law firms for corporate as well as plant-level issues relating to existing and upcoming Projects.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Essential:
Masters/bachelor’s degree in law or equivalent.
12-18 years of experience in Corporate Advisory with a focus on Projects preferably in automotive and/or manufacturing sectors.
Experience in project financing will be an added advantage.
Desired:
Experience in projects and general corporate in the manufacturing/automotive sector.
Role Specific Qualifications:
Bachelor/Master of Laws
Certifications in Contracts or Projects
