Direct Counsel is representing a well-regarded law firm seeking a Litigation Associate with 4-7 years of experience to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a broad array of litigation matters involving complex and cutting-edge disputes, including fiduciary obligations in multi-billion dollar public and private pension plans, constitutional and public agency law compliance, employee and disability retirement benefit disputes, intellectual property, insurance coverage, real estate and lease issues, and breach of contract claims.

This position is available in any of the firm’s offices nationwide, including Austin, Denver, Los Angeles, New York, Orange County, Phoenix, Sacramento, San Francisco, Seattle, Tucson, and Washington, DC.
Responsibilities
Work on a diverse range of litigation matters, including pension plan disputes, intellectual property, insurance coverage, and more.
Draft and respond to written discovery, pleadings, briefs, and motions in state and federal court.
Assist with eDiscovery and manage case development.
Participate in depositions and manage case workload efficiently.
Collaborate with colleagues and clients in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Job Requirements
4-7 years of experience in litigation, with a focus on complex legal matters.
Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
Experience drafting and responding to discovery, pleadings, motions, and briefs.
eDiscovery experience and some deposition experience preferred.
Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently and take ownership of significant matters.
Admission to the State Bar of California (or applicable state based on location).
Salary and Compensation
The annual salary range for this position is $190,000 to $235,000, depending on experience and qualifications. Associates are also eligible for various annual bonuses, including a bonus of 15% of base compensation if the firm’s 1,850 annual billable hours expectation is met (including up to 100 hours of approved pro bono work).
