Duties
- Gather and analyze medical evidence and records.
- Depose plaintiffs, physicians, experts, and other parties.
- Conduct discovery and perform legal research.
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
- Represent clients at hearings, trials, and mediations.
- Investigate and analyze accidents and potential claims.
- Compile and submit required reports.
- Coordinate and attend claims reviews.
- Negotiate settlements for clients and insurers.
- Make court appearances as needed.
Requirements
- J.D. and admission to the Missouri and Illinois bar.
- 3-7 years of experience in defending general liability or civil cases.
- In-depth knowledge of local, state, and federal laws.
- Proficiency in legal research techniques and terminology.
- Maintain firm and client confidentiality.
Education
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.
Certifications
Admission to the Missouri and Illinois bar.
