Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney for its General Liability practice group in Chattanooga, TN. The successful candidate will possess exceptional legal research, writing, and litigation skills. Location:
Chattanooga, TN
Duties:
Conduct file reviews and legal analysis of claims and causes of action
Perform extensive legal research and draft briefs, memos, pleadings, and appellate briefs
Maintain an annual billable requirement of 1950 hours
Represent clients regularly in court, at arbitrations, and during depositions
Draft and respond to discovery requests
Collaborate with expert witnesses and manage their retention
Assist with trial preparation and attend trials
Some travel may be required
Requirements:
3+ years of experience in General Liability
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school
Admission to practice law in Tennessee (admission to other states is a plus but not required)
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Exceptional legal research and writing skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Strong work ethic and commitment to professional excellence
Timely responsiveness to emails and phone inquiries
Excellent client communication skills and telephone manner
Education:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school
Certifications:
Admission to the Tennessee State Bar (admission to other states is a plus but not required)
Skills:
Strong litigation experience in General Liability
Expertise in legal research and writing
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and clients
