Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Civil Defense Litigation Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various areas of law including Personal Injury Law, Premises Liability, Medical Malpractice and Insurance Defense. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a dedicated individual with exceptional negotiation skills and a passion for the legal field.
Responsibilities:
– Represent clients in civil litigation and other legal proceedings, such as pretrial hearings, depositions, arbitration, mediation and trial.
– Conduct legal research and analysis on various cases.
– Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
– Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.
– Conduct and/or take part in depositions, hearings.
– Attend court hearings and trials as required.
– Provide legal counsel to clients on a range of legal issues.
– Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations relevant to the cases handled.
– Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals within the firm.
– Manage case files and documentation efficiently.
Qualifications:
– Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
– 3-5 years of Civil Defense Litigation.
– Admitted to practice law in the state of Florida.
– Trial experience.
– Proven experience in Personal Injury Law, premises liability, insurance defense, etc.
– Strong negotiation skills.
– Proficiency in conducting legal research using tools like Lexis Nexis.
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
– Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
– Interpersonal and conflict resolution abilities.
– Strong problem solving skills

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $125,000.00 – $145,000.00 per year
