Our client is looking for a General Counsel responsible for legal oversight across the bank’s operations, with a focus on trade finance and corporate matters.
Duties include:
Provide legal advice on trade finance transactions, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance.
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal documents related to the bank’s operations.
Ensure the bank’s activities comply with Swiss financial regulations and international trade laws.
Liaise with regulatory bodies, external legal counsel, and internal stakeholders on legal matters.
Manage legal risks, identifying and implementing strategies to mitigate potential liabilities.
Support executive management on strategic decisions and corporate structuring from a legal perspective.
The preferred candidate will ideally have experience working in trade finance and corporate law, with in-depth knowledge of Swiss financial regulations. German or Swiss German, and English language fluency are required. You should also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to interact effectively at all levels of the business.
