Job Summary:
The Head of Legal is responsible for providing comprehensive legal and compliance guidance and support across all aspects of the Group’s operations. This role will play a critical role in mitigating legal risks, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, and supporting the achievement of the Group’s business objectives.
Role and Responsibilities
Provide proactive and insightful legal guidance to the senior management team on all legal and regulatory matters, including M&A, joint ventures, corporate governance, and commercial contracts.
Identify and mitigate legal and compliance risks across all aspects of the Group’s operations.
Lead and mentor a high-performing legal team, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
Build and maintain strong relationships with external legal counsel, regulators, and other key stakeholders.
Proactively engage with stakeholders to address legal and compliance issues.
Job Success Requirements
A Bachelor’s Degree in Law from an acquired accredited institution. Additionally, a Master’s Degree in Law will be welcomed.
15 years of relevant legal experience, with a strong background in corporate law.
A charismatic and dynamic leader with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
A strong business partner with a deep understanding of commercial realities and the ability to build strong relationships.
In-depth legal expertise, with an understanding of legal principles and practices, alongside specific knowledge in the realm of contract law, employment law, intellectual property and litigation.
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, demonstrating your ability to assess and understand complex legal issues, and provide strategic advice.
