General Purpose:
The Legal Team Trainer creates and provides personalized and group training to Legal Assistants (“LAs”) and Legal Administrative Assistants (“LAAs”) in the use of firm systems, applications, workflows and processes, as well as firm and legal procedures needed to perform their job effectively.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Identifies the training needs within each Legal Team and develops and maintains new hire and reinforcement training materials and programs.
Develops consistent training materials and procedures for new LAs and LAAs firmwide.
Schedules and conducts personalized and group trainings of new LAs and LAAs.
Creates and delivers seminars, workshops, and individual training sessions for all LAs and LAAs firmwide on an ongoing basis with leadership approval.
Works with the Learning and Development (“L&D”) team to review and update legal training materials, including course content and exercises that are part of the Learning Management System.
Serves as a subject matter expert by providing guidance on legal concepts, terminology, and best practices.
Coordinates with Office Managers for each Legal Team, the Legal Team Coordinators and the Legal Team Manager to better target training needs for LAs and LAAs.
Gathers feedback to increase training efficiency and effectiveness.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications (Education, Experience and Certification):
High school education/GED or equivalent and four (4) years legal assistant experience required.
Experience as a trainer or training facilitator preferred.
Advanced legal assistant skills, including accurate typing; working knowledge of personal computers; strong knowledge and skills in MS Outlook, Word, BigHand Create/Hyperstyles, Excel and Adobe Acrobat.
Excellent grammar, spelling, punctuation and proofreading skills; and advanced knowledge of legal terminology.
Strong knowledge of iManage, iCompli, Intapp, Emburse/Chrome River, Intapp Time and CompuLaw, or similar software.
Knowledge of federal, state and local court filling rules.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to deal with a wide variety of people inside and outside the firm.
Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
Excellent judgment, problem solving and decision-making skills to handle a variety of responsibilities under general supervision.
Excellent organizational skills to manage the work to ensure consistency, productivity and a high level of work product across all legal practice group teams.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this position, the employee must have the ability to sit, stand and/or walk for extended periods of time; manipulate (lift, carry, move) weights of at least ten (10) pounds; have repetitive wrist/hand/finger movement to work on a computer and/or related office equipment; speak clearly and concisely so listeners can understand; and regularly understand the speech of another person.

Work Environment:
Professional office atmosphere; exposure to computer screens. Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting or standing for prolonged periods. Position may require occasional off-hour meetings and events.
Requires the ability to be in an assigned H&H office a minimum of three (3) days per week. If working remotely, must have a workspace that meets the Telecommuting policy guidelines.

Schedule:
For the first 90 days of employment, this position will be in-office every day. After completion of 90 days, this position allows for a hybrid schedule, generally in-office 3 days per week and remote 2 days per week. Additional days in-office may be required depending on business need and the demands of specific tasks. The hybrid work structure may change at any time, including the number of in-office days requirement.

Holland & Hart offers of employment take into consideration a candidate’s education, training, and experience, as well as the position’s work location, external market and internal value, including seniority and merit systems, and internal pay alignment when determining the salary level for potential new employees. Colorado salary range is $30.50 – $50.84 per hour. Washington DC salary range is $33.55 – $55.92. A discretionary bonus may be available based upon performance.
