As a Transcriptionist, you will be responsible for accurately transcribing audio recordings into written documents, ensuring clarity and adherence to the Chicago Manual Style. This role requires excellent typing skills and the ability to translate spoken content into written form efficiently.
Responsibilities
Transcribe audio recordings into clear, accurate written documents.
Proofread and edit transcriptions for grammatical accuracy and adherence to style guidelines.
Ensure all transcriptions are completed within specified deadlines.
Translate complex terminology into understandable language when necessary.
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information contained in audio recordings.
Collaborate with team members to improve transcription processes and quality standards.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in transcription and editing.
Requirements
Proficient in English with excellent writing, typing, and editing skills.
Strong proofreading abilities with attention to detail.
Familiarity with the Chicago Manual Style is preferred.
Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks effectively.
Previous experience in transcription or related fields is a plus but not required.
Comfortable using transcription software and technology tools for efficient workflow.
