Hi! I’m building Zoyra, an early-stage startup in the employee benefits and healthtech space, and I’m looking to connect with an experienced UK-qualified Technology / TMT Lawyer interested in joining the company as a Founding Legal Advisor.
Zoyra’s goal is to help employees plan and financially prepare for future fertility-related expenses through employer-supported benefits, partnerships and digital tools.
At this early stage, I’m looking for someone who can help shape the commercial, technology and contractual foundations of the business, including:
• Advising on the legal structure of Zoyra’s SaaS and digital platform model
• Drafting and reviewing SaaS agreements, platform terms and commercial contracts
• Supporting contracts with employers, clinics, technology providers and other commercial partners
• Advising on software licensing, intellectual property ownership and technology procurement
• Reviewing development, outsourcing and supplier agreements
• Advising on limitation of liability, indemnities, warranties and contractual risk allocation
• Helping define the legal relationship between Zoyra, employers, employees and service providers
• Supporting the creation of customer terms and conditions, acceptable use policies and website terms
• Advising on technology-related risks during product development and launch
• Helping identify where additional specialist advice may be required, including privacy, employment tax, financial regulation and healthcare matters
• Supporting early-stage negotiations with potential partners and suppliers
• Helping establish practical legal processes before launch and investment
This is not currently a paid role. Zoyra is pre-seed, and I am looking for someone interested in becoming part of the founding team through an equity-based arrangement.
The role would require a limited monthly commitment of a few hours per month. The exact time commitment would be agreed following the initial conversations, based on availability, expertise and the company’s immediate priorities.
This opportunity may be particularly suitable for someone with experience in:
• Technology, Media and Telecommunications law
• SaaS and software contracts
• Commercial technology transactions
• IT procurement and outsourcing agreements
• Digital platforms and online services
• Intellectual property and software licensing
• Early-stage startups or scale-ups
• Healthtech, fintech, HR tech or employee-benefits businesses
• In-house legal or external advisory roles supporting technology companies
Experience in privacy and data protection would be highly valuable, although separate specialist support may also be appointed where required.
The exact role, responsibilities, equity allocation and vesting structure would be discussed and formally agreed together.
