IMMIDIATE NEED for a highly capable Foreclosure Sales Paralegal to support the staff of a mortgage foreclosure litigation law firm.
Job Description:
This position will support the Foreclosure Department of the firm. Successful candidate will be a team player with a positive attitude and ability to maintain a consistently high standard of service to corporate clients. Must be capable to work well under pressure, multi-task and set priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Purpose:
The Foreclosure Sales Paralegal is responsible for preparing and processing foreclosure sales.
Desired experience related to residential foreclosure litigation:
- Prepare and submit instructions for upcoming sales.
- Prepare various motions, such as Motion to Cancel, Motion to Reset and Motion to Vacate Sale.
- Follow-up with sales date, certificate of title and third party funds.
- Bid review.
- Post Sale-Motions for Surplus, Motion to Amend Final Judgement/Affidavit of Additional Advances
- Update corporate client systems with sales information.
- Schedule hearings and prepare hearings packages with clerks of court in the State of Florida.
- Copy and e-file of pleadings.
- Assist with other paralegal duties and special projects related to foreclosure litigation as needed.
Required Skills & Competencies:
Paralegal must be experienced with Florida clerks of courts schedules and procedures. Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office is a must. Experience formatting of the documents in Word, using Outlook and Excel is required. Exemplary organizational skills, attention to detail, and strong client service skills are required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
