Location: Alpharetta, GA 30009
Job Type: Part-Time | 1099 Contract
Pay: $40 per hour
Hours: 15–20 hours per week
Work Setting: Initially onsite; hybrid/remote potential
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Foreclosure Paralegal to manage residential foreclosure files from intake through completion.
The ideal candidate has strong Georgia foreclosure experience, understands foreclosure timelines and notices, and can work independently with minimal supervision.
This is a new position, so we are looking for someone organized, flexible, and comfortable helping establish an efficient foreclosure process.
What You’ll Do
- Manage foreclosure files from intake through completion.
- Review files and identify required foreclosure actions.
- Perform bankruptcy and SCRA searches.
- Prepare demand letters and foreclosure notices.
- Review title reports for foreclosure readiness.
- Identify title issues and recommend curative actions.
- Prepare foreclosure advertisements and required notices.
- Prepare and record documents through GSCCCA.
- Monitor deadlines and track active foreclosure files.
- Prepare foreclosure status reports for clients.
- Communicate with attorneys, lenders, and loan servicers.
- Coordinate with borrowers, title companies, and newspapers.
Required Qualifications
- Hands-on Georgia foreclosure experience.
- Strong knowledge of Georgia foreclosure procedures.
- Experience managing foreclosure files independently.
- Knowledge of foreclosure notices and filings.
- Experience searching and filing through GSCCCA.
- Strong organization and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple files and deadlines.
- Comfortable working with limited supervision.
Preferred Experience
- Tennessee foreclosure experience.
- Alabama foreclosure experience.
- Creditor-side bankruptcy experience.
- PACER research and filing experience.
- FDCPA knowledge and compliance experience.
- Title review and curative experience.
- Collections or litigation experience.
Client-Facing Responsibilities
This position involves regular communication with:
- Attorneys
- Lenders
- Loan servicers
- Borrowers
- Title companies
- Newspapers
- Other foreclosure professionals
Professional communication and strong follow-through are essential.
Compensation & Schedule
- Pay: $40 per hour
- Schedule: 15–20 hours per week
- Employment: 1099 independent contractor
- Location: Alpharetta, GA 30009
