Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Foreclosure Paralegal to join our team. This role focuses on supporting high-volume judicial foreclosure matters from initial title review through final judgment entry. The ideal candidate possesses deep hands-on expertise in judicial foreclosure procedures, specifically proficient in drafting initial complaints, motions for summary/default judgment, and final judgment entries with speed and high attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
Pleading & Legal Drafting: Draft, review, and finalize a high volume of foreclosure pleadings, including complaints, summonses, affidavits, motions for default/summary judgment, judgment entries, and notices of sale.
Title & File Review: Review preliminary judicial reports, title commitments, chain of title, lien priority, and recorded mortgage instruments to ensure proper naming of all necessary parties-defendant.
Client & Court Communication: Communicate with court clerks, judicial officers, county sheriffs, and client representatives regarding file status, court filings, and hearing dates.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience: Minimum of 3–5+ years of direct experience as a paralegal in judicial foreclosure law.
Drafting Expertise: Proven experience independently drafting both foreclosure complaints and final judgment entries/orders.
Education/Certification: Paralegal certificate (ABA-approved preferred) or equivalent work experience demonstrating senior-level competence in real estate/foreclosure litigation.
Technical Skills: High proficiency with legal case management software, electronic court filing systems (e-filing), document automation tools, and Microsoft Office / Google Workspace.
Remote Work Capability: Demonstrated ability to work independently in a dedicated home office environment, maintaining focus, productivity, and communication across a remote team.
Schedule: Ability to work full-time during core business hours (Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST).
