Overview
First Sergeant Attorney Jobs in North Chesterfield at Department of State Police
Performs skilled clerical and technical work in the Office of the Circuit Court Clerk. Processes legal documents; enters data; indexes records and documents; collects fees; maintains records and files; and assists the public. Does related work as required. Work requires confidentiality and is performed under the general supervision of the Clerk of the Circuit Court.
Requirements:
Education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school.
Two years of experience in clerical work setting with a stable work history.
Knowledge of office assistance techniques, standard office practices, and procedures.
Ability to operate standard office equipment, computerized cash register, and video recording equipment.
Highly organized with ability to multi-task and handle a high volume of work with accuracy and detail.
Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions and correspondence.
Proficiency in MS Office applications with knowledge of word processing, data entry and spreadsheets Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to communicate ideas effectively in both oral and written forms.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with fellow employees, the general public, and court officials.
Strong quality and service minded.
Ability to work cooperatively in a diverse team and / or independently.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
Preferred Experience:
Supplemental business administration, secretarial experience in clerk’s office or law office.
Associate’s degree.
Deputy Clerk Certification.
