Duties:
Handle first-party property insurance claims, bad faith litigation, and insurance coverage disputes.
Draft and review pleadings, motions, and discovery documents.
Conduct depositions, and court appearances, and participate in trials.
Manage cases from inception to resolution in both state and federal courts.
Collaborate with team members and clients on case strategies and legal advice.
Provide excellent research and writing support for complex legal issues.
Engage in business development and maintain client relationships.
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in first-party property, bad faith, or insurance coverage litigation.
Practical case management experience in both state and federal courts.
Proficiency in drafting legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery.
Experience in taking and defending depositions, making court appearances, and handling trials.
Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Must be admitted to the Florida Bar and in good standing. Additional state bar admissions are a plus.
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications:
Admission to the Florida Bar is required. Additional Bar admissions are preferred.
Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to manage a diverse caseload and meet deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to handle complex legal matters.
Proficiency with legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
Business development acumen is a plus.
