Business Unit Purpose:
The Finance Payroll business unit oversees, implements, maintains, and reviews EKFC and its Subsidiaries/Joint Ventures payroll processing system to ensure accurate and timely payroll and employee payment transactions.
Job Purpose:
The job holder will ensure timely and accurate processing of staff payments in compliance with UAE Labour Law, Company policies, and financial controls while maintaining confidentiality, reconciling payroll and employee accounts, and optimizing processes for future growth.
Key Result Areas:
Process and reconcile monthly payroll with accuracy, ensuring adherence to financial control measures and procedures, and verifying that the previous month’s payroll is error-free and without duplicate payments.
Ensure compliance of employee master data with Company policy and guidelines to avoid discrepancies and to maintain smooth operations across the payroll functions.
Validate monthly employee accruals to ensure accuracy as per Company policy and statutory compliance.
Reconcile employee deduction accounts and validate and approve final settlements, employee benefit payments, and leave salaries to ensure accuracy, timely recovery, and payments.
Identify and recommend process/system improvements and produce key statistical and analytical information to support data-driven insights, while coordinating with stakeholders for successful implementation.
Responsible for computation of Cost to company (CTC) and prepare annual manpower budget based on the manpower count provided by the stakeholders.
Support the management in carrying out activities related to Actuarial Valuation to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
Resolve employee queries/complaints related to payroll as per the defined timelines / SLA to ensure highest standards of service delivery.
Maintain effective business relationships with all relevant internal stakeholders and relevant external entities with the highest standards of business ethics, whilst promptly attending to all critical issues in-order to ensure the services required by the organisation are delivered in the most effective manner.
Assist in the testing and troubleshooting of new systems during implementation, ensuring functionality and smooth transition to the new system.
Education Qualification:
Bachelors’ in Finance/Accounting/Commerce or equivalent
Completed professional certification in ACCA, CPA, or CA is preferred
Work Experience:
Minimum 6 years of experience of working in Finance
Knowledge of advance excel functions
Thorough knowledge of UAE labour law
Exposure to lean/six sigma-preferred
Skills:
Ability to manage, delegate, motivate and monitor team activity
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels with both financial and non-financial management
Intellectual with a strong commercial acumen
Drive to continually improve processes and seek new challenges
Ability to work well under pressure, working accurately with attention to detail, and meeting deadlines
