Location: New York (Field-Based Role — Albany to Binghamton Corridor)
Company: Halo Land Management

Power Progress Across the Empire State
At Halo Land Management, we specialize in bridging infrastructure and community. As a Right of Way Agent in New York, you’ll serve as the trusted liaison between major energy, telecom, and transportation projects — and the landowners, stakeholders, and communities who make them possible.

From rural properties in Schoharie County to suburban tracts outside Albany and Binghamton, this role puts you at the center of New York’s energy and infrastructure transformation. If you’re sharp with documentation, confident in negotiations, and field-ready — this is your opportunity to make an impact across upstate New York.

️ A Day in the Life: From Albany to the Southern Tier
Your day starts by reviewing new parcel data from Broome County. Mid-morning, you’re walking a tract with a landowner outside Oneonta, reviewing an easement route. Later, you’re scanning title records from Chenango County or updating client notes before heading to a community meeting near Schenectady.

You’re navigating fields, backroads, and small-town courthouses — building trust, solving problems, and pushing projects forward one conversation at a time.

What You’ll Do

Serve as the public-facing representative of projects throughout the Albany–Binghamton corridor.

Negotiate easements, access agreements, and land rights in a fair, respectful, and transparent manner.

Interpret ROW plans, construction drawings, plats, and land records specific to New York State.

Conduct land and title research in county clerk offices and digital systems.

Clearly communicate project scope, landowner impact, and compensation packages.

Track and document all contacts, agreements, and correspondence in alignment with client requirements.

Collaborate with internal Halo teams and make strategic decisions in the field with confidence.

Travel throughout upstate New York, primarily between Albany and Binghamton, as project demands evolve.

✅ What You Bring

Experience in right of way, land acquisition, title research, or real estate — preferably in New York.

Familiarity with New York land use regulations, property laws, and public land records systems.

Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, with a calm, clear, and professional communication style.

Ability to interpret plats, deeds, legal descriptions, construction plans, and GIS maps.

Detail-oriented, proactive, and organized — able to manage multiple projects with autonomy.

Comfortable using Microsoft Office, Zoom/Teams, and cloud-based collaboration platforms.

Based in or near the project area, with willingness to travel regularly between sites.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

️ Local Insight Matters
We’re seeking someone who knows upstate New York — from the patchwork of family farms to small-town zoning boards. If you understand how to engage with local landowners, navigate unique county processes, and thrive on delivering results in the field, we want to hear from you.
