Our client is recruiting a Family Solicitor/Executive to join its Family team, working across two Leeds branches. This is a privately funded Family role with a varied caseload, strong support, and clear scope to build your profile within a growing, people‑first firm.
What You’ll Be Doing
You will manage your own caseload of privately funded Family matters, including:
- Divorce and financial remedy work
- Separation matters
- Nuptial agreements
- Children arrangements
- Domestic violence matters
Key responsibilities will include
- Managing matters from initial instruction through to conclusion
- Drafting statements, applications and other court documents
- Handling new client enquiries and providing clear, practical advice
- Attending court hearings and undertaking advocacy where appropriate
- Preparing and maintaining accurate file documentation
Working with central services to support billing and recovery of fees
- Instructing counsel and experts where required
What We’re Looking For Essential
- Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with a current practising certificate
- Strong experience handling privately funded Family matters
- Excellent client care with a professional, friendly approach
- Strong drafting skills and confidence preparing court documents
- Organised, methodical approach with strong attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise, work at pace and meet deadlines
- Confident IT skills and willingness to learn new systems
- Team player with a strong work ethic and the ability to work on your own initiative
