We are looking for a hardworking and upbeat candidate to join our firm as a Legal Assistant. The ideal candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and will be comfortable dealing with a variety of different people on a daily basis. The ability to speak Spanish is a plus. Responsibilities:
Assist multiple attorneys with research, administrative tasks, and client communication.
Answer phones, direct calls, and correspond via email for attorneys.
Conduct legal research using a variety of resources, including computer-assisted legal research.
Communicate with clients by phone and email to schedule meetings and discuss case progress.
Schedule deadlines, answer calls, and correspond with a range of individuals.
Provide administrative support to attorneys (e.g., faxing documents, scheduling appointments).
Proofread documents.
File documents and correspondence.
Maintain case files by creating, updating, and maintaining case files by gathering information from all parties involved in the case or transaction.,.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 – $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
