Overview
We are seeking an attorney to assist our full-time attorneys with researching, discovery reviews and writing of legal briefs. Position is fully remote, part-time with flexible hours, and paid hourly. Applicant must have graduated from an accredited law school and passed a bar exam at some point from any state. Attroneys having criminal law experience will be preferred.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough legal research to support case preparation and strategy development.
Draft legal briefs such as sentencing briefs, appellate pleadings, case summaries and other similar pleadings.
Review, summarize and prepare detailed memorandums for the full-time attorneys on discovery in criminal cases.
Requirements
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Active license to practice in any jurisdiction.
Proven experience in criminal law.
Strong skills in legal writing and drafting.
Thorugh drafting of discovery memorandums.
Ability to conduct detailed legal research using various resources.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
