Our client, a boutique family law firm, is seeking a part-time, divorce law paralegal. This job is fully remote, but the paralegal must be located in Florida. Pay rate is $35/hour.
Responsibilities of the paralegal will include litigation and case management, calendaring, strong background in preparing and reviewing financial affidavits, preparing mandatory disclosure for the client, reviewing mandatory disclosure from the opposing party, preparing discovery requests outside of mandatory disclosure where appropriate, preparing equitable distribution spreadsheets, preparing mediation preparation summaries, and preparing summaries prior to court hearings.
Qualifications:
3-5 years’ experience in divorce law preferred
Excellent communications skills with clients, opposing attorneys and their paralegals, judicial assistants, and other court offices and officials.
Ability to draft and file motions, orders, and final judgments through the Florida e-portal filing system is essential
Ability to review the judicial rules of administration and local rules for individual judges
Ability to perform and interpret legal research is a bonus
