A well-regarded boutique law firm just outside of Newark, NJ, is seeking a Family Law Paralegal to support their growing practice. The firm provides diverse legal services in family law, child custody, and domestic violence matters, offering compassionate advocacy for their clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist attorneys in managing family law cases from intake to resolution
Prepare and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and financial affidavits
Conduct legal research and gather supporting documentation for cases
Communicate with clients, courts, and opposing counsel to coordinate schedules and case progress
Maintain case files, deadlines, and billing records
Assist in trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and witness lists
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience as a family law paralegal
Strong understanding of New Jersey family law and court procedures
Excellent organizational and case management skills
Proficiency in legal research and document drafting
Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with clients
Experience with family law software is a plus
