Miles Hansford is a growing, full-service law firm seeking an experienced and highly motivated Family Law Litigation Paralegal to join our expanding Family Law practice.
This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced paralegal who enjoys meaningful litigation work, direct client interaction, trial preparation, and playing a critical role in complex domestic relations matters. Our Family Law team handles a wide range of cases, including divorce, custody, child support, legitimation, modification, contempt, protective orders, and high-asset domestic litigation.
This position is designed for a legal professional who wants to spend their time helping move cases forward by completing substantive tasks rather than spending substantial time on administrative tasks.

Compensation & Benefits
· The anticipated salary range for this position is $70,000 to $85,000 annually, based on experience, skill set, and family law litigation background. In addition to competitive base compensation, the position is eligible for performance-based bonus opportunities.

Primary Responsibilities
The successful candidate will play a key role in the management and progression of family law matters from inception through final resolution.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing a substantial family law litigation caseload
- Maintaining regular communication with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and court personnel
- Drafting pleadings, motions, discovery requests, discovery responses, correspondence, financial affidavits, and other case-related documents
- Organizing and managing case files and electronic records
- Assisting attorneys with case strategy and preparation
- Managing discovery, document collection, and document production
- Coordinating depositions, mediations, hearings, and trial schedules
- Reviewing and organizing financial records and supporting documentation
- Preparing exhibits, witness notebooks, and trial materials
- Monitoring case deadlines and ensuring compliance with court requirements
- Assisting attorneys during hearings and trial preparation
Qualifications
The ideal candidate possesses both strong litigation skills and the ability to work independently while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
Preferred qualifications include:
- 5+ years of family law litigation paralegal experience
- Strong knowledge of Georgia family law procedures and domestic relations litigation
- Experience handling contested custody and divorce matters
- Experience with discovery management and trial preparation
- Exceptional organizational and file management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong drafting abilities
- Ability to prioritize competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and legal case management systems
- Strong problem-solving abilities and sound professional judgment
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Preferred but not required:
- Paralegal Certificate
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience with Clio or comparable case management software
- Experience supporting attorneys in courtroom litigation
