Summary
We are seeking a DMV Title Clerk to join our team at Major Motor Cars. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the title processing, vehicle registrations and handling the legal transfer of documents for the Department of Motor Vehicles.
Responsibilities
Process registrations for all used vehicles based on the state they will be titled in.
Prepare and verify title documents against customer’s purchase agreements.
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations regarding title transfers.
Assist customers with inquiries related to vehicle titles and registration processes.
Maintain organized records of all title transactions and documentation.
Collaborate with the sales team to facilitate smooth vehicle transactions.
Conduct research as needed to resolve title issues or discrepancies.
Manage inventory of in-house plates and stickers.
Stay updated with title regulations and attend relevant seminars and training sessions.
Ensure funds have been duly collected and the correct lienholder is compensated before processing titles.
Maintain a comprehensive system for out-of-state titles verification.
Compile and monitor a list of any outstanding title work.
Requirements
Proven experience in title processing or a related field is preferred.
Strong customer service skills with a focus on creating positive experiences.
Attention to detail and accuracy in handling documentation.
Ability to research and resolve title-related issues effectively.
Familiarity with real estate law is a plus but not required.
