Position Summary
Ekspert Counsel is seeking a skilled Family Law Paralegal in New York, NY for a full-time, permanent position with a highly regarded international law firm. This role will support a top-tier Family Law practice.
Responsibilities
- Assist with drafting and proofreading legal documents, including pleadings, affidavits, correspondence, and subpoenas.
- Support attorneys through all phases of family law matters, from intake through resolution.
- Assist with discovery, document review, and factual research.
- Prepare, assemble, and organize exhibits and filings for court appearances, hearings, and conferences.
- Manage case calendars and track deadlines using docketing systems.
- Coordinate logistics for client meetings, witness preparation, and court proceedings.
- Maintain and organize electronic and physical case files.
- Handle e-filing through NYSCEF and related court systems.
- Collaborate with attorneys, clients, and internal teams to support case management and execution.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 3–5+ years of experience as a Family Law Paralegal; litigation experience is a plus.
- Strong experience with uncontested divorce filings and net worth statements.
- Proficiency with NYSCEF e-filing and familiarity with New York court procedures.
- Experience with iManage, Elite, docketing systems, or eDiscovery platforms is a plus.
