Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Family Law Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys with preparing legal documents such as petitions, motions, affidavits, and settlement agreements in family law matters
- Conduct legal research on procedural laws, jurisdictional requirements, and relevant statutes to support case strategies
- Manage case files using document management systems like iManage and PCLaw, ensuring all records are accurate, organized, and up-to-date
- Interview clients to gather pertinent information, document case details, and provide excellent client communication throughout the legal process
- Review and analyze evidence, including personal injury cases or other related civil litigation documents when applicable
- Coordinate with courts, agencies, and external parties to schedule hearings, depositions, and meetings while maintaining strict confidentiality of sensitive information
- Support attorneys in trial preparation by reviewing documents, drafting reports, and managing litigation timelines
Requirements
- Proven paralegal experience with a strong background in family law; familiarity with estate planning, environmental law or other specialized areas is a plus
- Proficiency in legal research tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw; experience with legal case management software including PCLaw is preferred
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to handle client interactions professionally and empathetically
- Knowledge of procedural law requirements across various jurisdictions; experience supporting civil litigation is advantageous
- Ability to handle confidential information discreetly and adhere to ethical standards in all aspects of work
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), document review platforms, and data entry systems such as iManage or similar tools
- Exceptional proofreading skills; experience with legal drafting and legal writing is essential
- Strong research skills combined with the ability to interpret complex legal documents accurately
- Excellent phone etiquette and professional demeanor; capable of providing executive administrative support when needed

Pay: $35.00 – $40.00 per hour
