Contract Family Law Attorney

Salary * $70 to $90 per hour
Position *Full-time, Hybrid (2 Days), Contract (6 months+ contract)
LHH has partnered with a reputable firm located in San Mateo, CA, specializing in providing expert legal services in domestic relations cases. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Contract Family Law Attorney to join the team and provide comprehensive legal support in family law cases.
Domestic Relations Cases:
Manage a caseload of family law matters, including divorce, child custody, child support, spousal support, and property division.
Legal Consultation:
Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on family law issues, ensuring their understanding of the legal process and their rights.
Legal Documentation:
Draft, review, and file legal documents related to family law cases, including petitions, motions, pleadings, and settlement agreements.
Court Representation:
Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, and mediations, advocating for their best interests and ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
Negotiation:
Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients, aiming for favorable outcomes while considering the best interests of all parties involved.
Legal Research:
Conduct legal research on family law matters, staying current with changes in laws, regulations, and case precedents.
Case Management:
Organize and manage case files, ensuring all relevant documents and records are accessible and confidential.

Juris Doctor (JD) Degree:
Must possess a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and be licensed to practice law in the state of California.
Family Law Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of experience practicing family law, with a strong understanding of California family law statutes and court procedures.
Litigation Skills:
Proficiency in family law litigation, including courtroom experience and dispute resolution techniques.
Communication:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts to clients clearly.
Time Management:
Effective time management skills to handle multiple cases and meet deadlines.
Professionalism:
Maintain the highest ethical and professional standards in all interactions and representations.
