The firm is currently in a period of rapid growth. We are looking for a Broward County, FL Attorney for commercial litigation practice with heavy emphasis on real property litigation.
Essential Duties:
Represent clients in commercial litigation cases, including breach of contract, fraud, errors and omissions, and statutory claims (FDUTPA, FDCPA, FCRA).
Handle foreclosure litigation on behalf of lenders.
Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and briefs, and manage all phases of litigation.
Represent clients in court proceedings, including depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials.
Develop case strategies and advise clients on legal risks and potential outcomes.
Negotiate settlements and alternative dispute resolutions when appropriate.
Manage appellate matters as needed (appellate experience preferred).
Maintain high ethical and professional standards in all aspects of practice.
Meet a billable hour requirement of 1,600 hours per year.
Desired Skills and Experience:
•Licensed to practice law in Florida.
•Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial litigation (preferred).
Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
Aptitude for trial work with experience handling litigation matters from inception to resolution.
Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines efficiently.
High level of professionalism, ethics, and integrity.
Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
Appellate experience is a plus.
Compensation will be based on experience.
